I want my photographs to be loved. I want them to be meaningful to my clients.
Sometimes I’m especially reminded what a privilege it is to be taking your photos.
I felt like I knew a little about this little family in Ringwood – I’ve had two other shoots with friends of theirs – a sort of ring of gift vouchers had been purchased between themselves. I’d heard from the other two shoots that Matt (the Dad) had a brain tumor and was unwell, everyone hoped we could do the photos when he was better.
So it was great news when I got a phonecall to book a date! These guys were such a lovely family and I had a great time in the New Forest with them and the two boys were super stars. Matt told me that two weeks before he had been unable to remember the boys names, but that hopefully he’s on the road to recovery. I really hope these images are loved by these guys, I feel privileged to be entrusted to take memories of any and every family but these meant something extra when I was taking them, and afterwards counting my lucky stars.
