4 Month Old Baby Photography – Liss

This was nice shoot of lovely Isabel, a 4 month old baby and her family in Liss, Hampshire. For this shoot I used more studio setups than at some. Generally speaking I arrive and have a tour of your home and decide what the plan should be. Depending on the light and the weather we may use lots of rooms, the garden or just one room. I have a mobile studio setup (black background on a stand) that will allow us to get some studio type shots no matter what size or shape of your home. I do like natural shots of you and your family in your own environment, but I am a sucker for some of these studio photography type shots.

Baby in Basket Southampton Newborn Photography

I was lucky enough to be able to photography Daniel on his very first day home!

I love meeting and photographing babies when they are so young and cute. It was especially nice to photograph Daniel as I’d met his parent before on a Bump shoot, it’s always so nice to talk about the theory before and then see the difference once the baby arrives. These guys were really cute and Daniel was a super star.

You know some times a newborn cries.

Personally I think it’s nice to capture (and show) a bit of the “real” experience of dealing with a newborn.

The newborn photoshoots are not necessarily all laughter, tea and cake – mostly they are! But newborn babies are always a bit unpredictable – it’s something I tend to embrace – I really try not to rush anyone. I like to think I’m fairly laid back, we can talk about techniques that I hear have worked for other clients, or some techniques that we used with my daughter, but generally we just take a break for cuddles and food.

- No worries.

And you never know, sometimes these reportage type shots might be your favourites.

Some people like these some don’t! If they aren’t your cup of tea – don’t panic – we’d aim to get plenty of calmer – more traditional shots!
