What a pretty Family in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. This lovely newborn shoot was one of those lucky few newborn shoots that get booked after a baby is born – I’d had a postponement. I do understand not wanting to book a newborn shoot before your little bundle of joy has arrived … but it does risk not being able to get the photographer you want to take your newborn baby images. Ideally I take newborn photos in the first 2 weeks.

I love shooting in Winchester, there are so many lovely little lanes and house’s full of character. This baby photoshoot of 9 month old baby Ana was lovely – lots of nice cuddles of Ana from Mum and Dad. I do like getting out and about for part of the shoot if the weather allows and for this one we were lucky to be near one of Winchester’s most picturesque lanes.

I’m a pretty smiley kinda person, and I have to say I do like a happy looking portrait. I LOVE these images of this lovely family in Alresford, Winchester – they are soooo smiley and happy. The whole shoot was a lot of fun. Obviously the weather has been fairly rubbish recently, but we still managed to get outside – I hope I’ll be invited back some time as their garden was just amazing.

I really enjoyed my time meeting this lovely family in Winchester.
Sol is apparently quite a serious baby – Mum joked he was going to be a scientist when he grew up. Something I tend to say is rather than try to make him laugh constantly through the shoot – just be yourselves. If you have a serious baby, then chances are you’d want pictures of him or her to look like them – rather than always be thinking – that doesn’t look like my little ‘un.
One of the things I like to do is to try and get some natural shots that mean something to you. Dad in this case was a keen musician (once playing Guildford festival second stage no less.) and so we got some nice shots of Sol playing with and around his Dad’s guitar. I like the one I’ve included below as it seems to capture that “… are you sure I’m allowing near this.”
I love this first one of Sol conducting too.

What a beautiful young family in Winchester.
I really like these images, I think the ones with Jacob and Ed are really lovely. Jacob was a star – he had picked up a bug earlier in the week and although he wasn’t apparently on top form – he did seem to have fun with Mum and Dad. The bath bubbles were fun for everyone too.
