Family Photography Common Questions and Answers
After the shoot
How many images will I see?
I lightly edit and provide you a gallery of about 30 images. This takes about four weeks. We can discuss the images over the phone or I can come for a viewing at your home. The gallery is available online for 2 weeks for you to decide upon your favourites – and to make a decision on my product range.
How do I order products?
You can order products over the phone, email or at a viewing. I provide a range of products that hopefully aren’t too confusing but there is something for everyone.
What is the average spend?
Around £500 (from £300 in most cases.)
Is it possible to buy the digital files?
You can purchase files individually or as a digital package of 30. More about my digital files.
Will the photographs be in colour or black and white?
The photographs in your gallery will be a mix of colour and black and white – depending on what suits the image. If you have a very strong preference then let me know before the shoot – I need to be shooting with a preference in mind. I can then weight my editing to suit your preference.
Do you offer re-touching services?
I remove the general scrapes and scratches that distract from an image. It’s rare for a toddler not to have a runny nose at some point in the shoot. Most of this can be removed in post-production. If you want skin smoothing it is something I can offer but rarely do – the whole natural images verses staged ones tends not to lend itself to skin smoothing. If you want to see an airbrushed example of one of your images just let me know.
